Field report from Depoe Bay on April 9, 2026 — Ocean was blue and beautiful. The boat ride was a little rough on the way out but much better on the ride in. Wateremperature was probably 52 degrees, and weather was sunny and pleasant.

Ocean was blue and beautiful. The boat ride was a little rough on the way out but much better on the ride in. Wateremperature was probably 52 degrees, and weather was sunny and pleasant.

What Worked:

Shrimp flies tied on the upper loop of a dropper loop setup. Optional: you can add a soft plastic bait for lingcod on the bottom loop.
